Dhurandhar (2025) – Short Review
Dhurandhar is a massive-scale espionage thriller directed by Aditya Dhar, starring Ranveer Singh along with a powerful ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt and Akshaye Khanna.
The film revolves around a high-stakes undercover mission, where an Indian intelligence agent infiltrates Karachi’s underworld and political system to dismantle a dangerous terror network. The story is inspired by real geopolitical events, adding a layer of realism and seriousness.
The biggest strength of the film is its scale, intensity, and performances. Ranveer Singh delivers a controlled and powerful performance, while the supporting cast adds depth and complexity. The action sequences are grand and cinematic, and the film maintains a serious, realistic tone throughout.
However, the movie’s very long runtime (over 3.5 hours) becomes a major drawback. The pacing can feel slow, and the heavy political narrative may not appeal to everyone.
Verdict: A bold, large-scale spy thriller with strong performances and realism—impressive but lengthy and heavy, best suited for serious cinema lovers.
